“Water Dragon”
This panel is gorgeous. Interesting, dynamic framing for maximum dramatic effect.
Oh, and I like that Naru’s costume makes her look not entirely unlike a certain wisewolf of more modern anime yore.

animangareviews:

Love Hina (ラブ ひな) by Ken Akamatsu is a romantic comedy that is one of the most popular manga series ever in Japan. The story centers around two students trying to get into Tokyo University, the best in Japan, Keitarō Urashima and Naru Narusegawa. Keitaro becomes the manager of an all girls boarding house and lives there with Naru and many other crazy and interesting characters. The manga relies on three storylines, Keitaro’s promise to a girl in his early life to get into Tokyo U, Naru and Keitaro’s unspoken love, and traditional boy-sees-girls-naked humor. Even though the latter can be awful in some manga, in this one it is extremely well done and rarely gets old. The other characters, the shy girl, the crazy girl, the sexually charged girl, and the serious swordswoman, are great and are the best of their manga stereotypes. The characters constantly poke fun at Keitaro and each other and the comedy is usually funny, which kept me coming back for more. Overall, while not being my favorite comedy manga, Love Hina is one of the best of a romantic comedy genre which is usually much of the same.
Score: 9/10 - Scintillating Slapstick
